Remembering Kenya's Mau Mau uprising

In the same year that Queen Elizabeth II ascended the throne, Mau Mau rebels launched a bid for independence from British rule. The rebellion was so brutally crushed that Britain's position became untenable. Within a decade, Kenya gained independence. For some survivors, it's an unresolved story.
